Contemplation (2019)

Collage, pencil part of We Can Fly
Pencil and collage work 'Contemplation' by Libby Bloxham. The base is a moody, abstracted landscape in coloured pencil, using blue, green and cool purple tones under stark black silhouettes, evoking trees reflected in still water. Layered over this is a cut-out pencil sketch of a nude female figure, shown from behind as if bathing. Insect-like wings cut from white paper are attached to the woman's shoulders.
