Adrift and Afloat are related works. One boat carries people who are on the trip of a lifetime because they have no other option, grabbing for a hope of freedom. The other boat full of people, also on the trip of a lifetime but because they have the freedom to choose to be there, having a great time.
This piece is fitted with ‘D’ hooks so it can stand as a sculpture or hang on the wall.
